Salvation Army Raises More Than $200,000

The Salvation Army has expressed profound gratitude to the Bermuda community for their exceptional support during the 2024 Christmas Campaign, which successfully raised over $200,000 to fund local programs. The Kettle Campaign alone garnered $61,466, surpassing the initial goal of $55,000, while additional contributions through the Christmas Letter Appeal, Digital Campaign, and Giving Tuesday amounted to $149,106. These funds are crucial in sustaining essential services such as food, clothing, shelter, substance abuse recovery, housing support, job training, and educational programs throughout 2025. Captain Dennis Maybury, Public Relations Officer, highlighted that amidst rising living costs, the community’s generosity not only provides material assistance but also offers hope to those facing emotional, mental, and physical challenges. The Salvation Army also extended thanks to community groups, local businesses, corporate partners, and volunteers for their invaluable contributions to the campaign’s success.
