The Salvation Army Bermuda extends our heartfelt congratulations to Salvationist Lionel E. Cann on being awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in His Majesty The King’s 2026 Birthday Honours for his services to Emergency Disaster Relief and Homelessness in Bermuda and internationally. 

For many years, Lionel has faithfully served our community through disaster response efforts, the Soup Run, emergency shelter services, and countless acts of kindness and compassion. His dedication to helping others has touched many lives both near and far. 

Thank you, Lionel, for your unwavering commitment to serving others and delighted to see your contributions recognized in this special way. Congratulations also to Elizabeth “Liz” Christopher, John Paul “JP” Skinner, and Troy Farnsworth on their well-deserved honours.
