Major Cathy Simms
Area Commander

Major Cathy Simms serves as the Area Commander for The Salvation Army in Bermuda.
Major Cathy Simms and her husband Major Darryl Simms have returned to Bermuda after previously pastoring at the Newlands Corps, at Friswell’s Hill, Devonshire. The Simms, having a wide experience as pastors and divisional leadership responsibilities in Canada, were excited at the news of returning to the island to minister once again.
Major Cathy works alongside local leadership and stakeholders to build partnerships that support local programmes, giving people the tools needed to rebuild dignity and renew hope – whether that means providing shelter, emergency disaster relief, spiritual guidance, addiction rehabilitation, or life-skills development.
